Donna Mindish is a pastel, watercolor, and fused glass artist from Northfield, New Jersey. I have always enjoyed creating art. In the past I made and taught porcelain doll making and created mosaics using vintage china.
When I retired I decided to try painting. I have taken watercolor classes and workshops with Marie Natale and pastel classes with Renee Leopardi. Recently I have also started exploring another medium using glass melted in a kiln.
I have found my passion in pastels. The intense colors and spontaneity is exciting with each stroke. I enjoy painting coastal scenes of the Jersey shore as well as still lifes. I continue to grow with each new painting and hope my paintings bring as much joy to the viewer as they do to me creating them.
I have sold and exhibited my paintings and glass work in Southern New Jersey art shows in Ocean City, Cape May, Millville, Hammonton, and Ventnor. I also exhibit at The Wellwood Restaurant in Charlestown, Maryland. I have been selected to participate in the Ocean City Art Center's Juried Show, Atlantic County Senior Citizen Art Show, and the Noyes Museum show at Seaview Country Club. I am a member and volunteer at the Ocean City Fine Arts League.
I continue taking classes realizing there is always something new to learn.
