The Gloria Moyer Collection

Gloria Moyer, a resident of South Jersey for almost 25 years, has been painting both plein aire and studio for most of her life.

Although Moyer holds a fine arts degree, her career was spent as creative director and senior graphic designer for several publishing companies. Gloria designed and illustrated numerous books for the el-high division of McMillan Publishing, as well as ESL books for Longman, Ltd. in New York. The last 25 years of her professional career was spent as creative director for the advertising and marketing agency her husband, Ron, and she founded in 1985. Now retired, she devotes more of her time to painting.

Gloria has two distinct styles. In her genre painting, she captures the appy, relaxed activities of every day people. Landscapes and still life paintings are done in a more realistic style.

Gloria has studies with well known water colorists Timothy Clark, Joel Pappodics, and Howard N. Watson, among others, and attends workshops in New Jersey, Florida, and Maine.

Her work is in private collections and has been exhibited in galleries, art centers, and public spaces. She is a member of the Ocean City Arts Center, the Ocean City Fine Arts League, the Vero Beach Art Club in Vero Beach, Florida, and the Jensen Beach Art League in Jensen Beach, Florida.
