The Linda Robinson Collection

Artist Statement

I moved to Millville, NJ from Philadelphia, PA, and I have been living and working in South Jersey for over 25 years. I am an artist primarily working in pastels, and I also paint in oils and watercolor. I love the South Jersey landscape and colors; there is a painting to paint wherever you look! I believe the landscape is the beauty of South Jersey, and I try to capture the feel, colors and beauty of the landscape in my paintings. I have shown my work in Cumberland County at the RRCA, Gallery 50, Vineland Library and galleries in Ocean City , Mt. Holly , Hammonton and the surrounding New Jersey area.

I am a member of the Society of New Jersey Artists, Pastel Society of New Jersey, AENJ, Gallery 50, Ocean City Art League and an associate artist at the Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts (RRCA).

I have taken art classes and workshops at the Cheltenham Center for the Arts, Fleischer Art Center, Tyler School of Art, and The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. I have also taken classes with Pat Witt at the Barn Studio of Art, Stan Sperlak and Marie Natale in South Jersey. My instructors have been a great inspiration to me!

I have an Art Education degree from Temple University and have previously taught art for 31 years in the Millville Public Schools. I continue to teach art students at the RRCA and other art centers in South Jersey. I share my excitement and love of painting with my students.

I offer a variety of children's art classes, and I am available to teach at your art center, school or non-profit facility. I am also available for pastel commissions. Please contact me for any information at artylin5@aol.com.
