Lois Bard has been a resident of Egg Harbor Township for 20 years. Prior to that she and her husband, Don, raised their two daughters, Cathy and Cheri, in Medford, NJ.
For many years she was a Legal Secretary/Paralegal primarily in Workers' Compensation Law.
She started painting in oil and enjoyed that medium for her early painting years. When they moved to Egg Harbor Township she was introduced to watercolor and found it to be both challenging and rewarding at the same time. She studied with Marie Natale, who is a renowned water colorist and wonderful teacher, for a number of years. She has also studied with Cheryl Knowles Harrigan and enjoyed her teaching style as well.
Her work has been displayed in various galleries including the Ocean City Fine Arts League, Ocean City Arts Center, and Nashville North Studios. She has also exhibited at Art in the Park in both Somers Point and Absecon, and Arts and Crafts shows in the South Jersey area.
Included in this show are watercolor paintings created for OCAC invitational shows on "In the Manner of Winslow Homer" and "Murder on the Orient Express".
