I am inspired to paint from life, dreams and photography. These acrylic representations on canvas are tied to the abundant nature surrounding me and reflect the saturation of color and brilliant light at the southern New Jersey shore and on the island of Key Biscayne, Florida. The main objective of my work is to fill a space in a beautiful way, using subjects that are readily available.

  I compose a painting, as it would be seen through a camera lens. The technique of cropping helps me to view the subject, as "close up". I then wrap the original design around the sides of the deeply stretched canvas for a three-dimensional effect.
