Linda Gazsi

  Linda Gazsi was born in Pennsylvania but has lived most of her life in southern New Jersey. She began to draw at the age of three. In 1985 she graduated from the School of Art of Kutztown University in Pennsylvania.

  Her earliest exposure to watercolor began in high school. In college she did extensive study in charcoal. After graduation she was employed briefly in the textile industry and later as a potter's apprentice. By the summer of 1988 she was yearning to paint again and became reacquainted with watercolors through a week long workshop under the instruction of Howard Watson. She began painting on a daily basis and it became a full time professional activity.

  In the spring of 1990 she began showing her artwork in art shows of southern New Jersey and Long Island, New York. In her very first show at Wheaton Villiage in Millville, New Jersey she won a 2nd place ribbon. In 1991 she expanded her showplace territory to include Delaware and Pennsylvania and recieved 9 new awards including two Cape May County Cultural and Heritage Commission Purchase Awards.

  Linda lives in Somers Point, New Jersey where she is raising her family and maintains a studio.
