Lisa Stella McCarty

  Lisa Stella McCarty has a BA from LI University and has been a part time student at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts for the past seven years, studying oil painting and drawing. After a career in Human Resources, she moved to Canada for 7 years with her family and then relocated to Voorhees, NJ. She has a summer home in Ocean City. She has participated in several plein aire workshops including one in Tuscany. Her recent works are from a plein aire trip to Lewes Delaware where the Cape May Ferry docks.

  Currently she is painting outdoors with a group in New Hope/Lambertville.

  She also enjoys floral still life. Recently, she was juried into an art show at the Broome Street Gallery in SOHO and the Cherry Hill Art Blooms festival as well as the student art show at the Philadelphia Academy. Lisa is the great grand niece of the American artist Joseph Stella whose work continues to give her inspiration.
