Lois G. Adam

I painted traditional watercolor all my life and finally became frustrated with the limitations of the medium. I began to look for a more intuitive and emotional way of expression. My current collage work takes its watch-word from Chagall: (the aim of art is to) "penetrate the subject without copying the illustration."

My work has been shown in the Nan Mulford Gallery, Rockland, Maine; The Limmer Gallery, NY, NY; The Prickley Pear, Cape May, NJ; The Perkins Gallery, Marlton, NJ; The Noyes "Hanging"; The Philadelphia Watercolor Society show, Atlantic City, NJ.
