Mary Ellen Photo Art

After thirty four years of working as a nurse anesthetist, Mary Ellen is now pursuing her second career.

She is a member of the Ocean City Fine Arts League. Her work is displayed in the gallery on Asbury Avenue, Ocean City NJ.

Her photography was chosen by the Noyes Museum Colors of Hope program and is hanging in the new Scarpa Cancer Pavilion at the South Jersey Medical Center, Vineland NJ.

She illustrated the children’s book The Elsinore Tree, written by Francis Seal. The book uses birds as characters for the Hamlet theme. All illustrations for the book were created from her vast library of images, using layering and other enhancing techniques. She and Francis worked closely together on each illustration until she effectively created the author’s vision.

She also creates DVD slide shows, post cards, business cards and custom greeting cards, including cards for the Cape May Bed and Breakfasts. She restores old photos.

Mary Ellen and her husband Lee reside in Cape May Beach, New Jersey. They are parents of five grown children.
