Thelma K. Snyder

  Thelma Snyder is a local artist who has gained recognition on the East Coast for her oil paintings, which have won several awards in New York and New Jersey. Ms. Snyder specializes in painting unique interiors, windows, gates, doors, flowers, food, and gardens. She finds her subjects while wandering local and distant beaches, bays, buildings, meadows, gardens, streets, and alleyways.

  Snyder is also an artist in the kitchen. She has co-authored six cookbooks, for which she has won several awards, and she is considered an expert in her field. Her recipes have been published in major newspapers and magazines, including Food and Wine, Cooks Illustrated, House Beautiful, The Ladies’ Home Journal, Redbook, and Self.

  Thelma’s goal in painting and in cooking is always to balance color, texture, and interest into a pleasing, lush, and harmonious presentation.
